question about chicks getting wet

I have three 4 week old babies that are being raised by Momma, I usually let them free range and have access to the nursery with Momma all day. today it has been raining all day but not raining now and 74 degrees. Momma & Babies look very bored and anxious to get out of the nursery (a dog crate)
Are the babies to young to go out in the rain?
