question about colors and breeding

Is it ok to breed different colors of a breed together? Is that within industry standard? And how do they turn out, like either of the parents, or a blend? For instance, golden polish and silver laced polish, or self black polish. Ive got 8 polish and depending on what i end up with, roos or pullets, will sort of determine who I keep.

It's typically not recommended if you're trying to breed to standard and pure for a particular color variety. What you will end up with in most cases is non-standard colors.
