Hello,
I am new to chickens and I have about 7x12 concrete area that is my run/coop/living area for 5 chickens. I covered it with about 4 inches of pine shavings and put some sand in one area of the run. The run has 4 walls and half of it is covered with roof for shade and rain. I live in Mexico so there is no cold season here, only very hot and rainy season, and hot season. My question is, how often do I need to change the pine shavings, would you recommend putting something else along with the pine shavings?
Thanks,
Ivan
