Question about coop size

Hi, everyone I am getting some Silkie Chickens soon and I was wondering is an 8ft by 8ft coop is to big for about 6 Silkie plus 4 other chickens or should I cut it in half and make a 8 by 4? Thanks!

I'd divide it in half, because your silkies probably won't roost and may behave differently from the others...but I'd be interested in what silkie owners think about that...
