I bought an auction last thur. afternoon and paid within
minutes of the auction end. The seller shipped these on
saterday and here it is the following Thursday and still
no eggs. USPS says they were mis-routed and they are in
SC and I live in NC. To make a long story
short should I except these eggs to try
to hatch due to the time sensitive nature
of them or should the seller make this good.

I'm sorry for your problems with your shipped eggs but it is not the seller's fault that the Post Office mis-routed the package. Once it let the seller's hands it is out of their control and they are not responsible. Unfortunately it is one of those chances you take when buying shipped eggs. If they were fresh eggs on Saturday and were not mistreated too much by the PO it is still possible for them to hatch.

They should be ok as long as they weren't handled too roughly. Check the air cells and make sure they are intact. If the address was correct and they were shipped wrong, perhaps the seller would send more eggs if you pay for shipping again. I would try to incubate them if they are in good shape. I used to sell eggs on ebay and there was a buyer from Hawaii (I didn't know you weren't suppose to ship eggs to Hawaii but the buyer knew and didn't tell me) anyway, I had written "Hatching eggs" on the box. The box was sent back from Hawaii to Wisconsin, it had also looked like they played kickball with it. It was probably at least 10 days from the time I sent it but all the eggs survived the trip so I decided to incubate them just out of curiousity, I think it was about 9 out of 14 that hatched. I thought that was pretty good for eggs that had traveled from WI to HI and back to WI.

three times i've bought eggs that were sent via the post office priority mail two to three day delivery
no times did the eggs come in that two to three day window
the first time my eggs were "lost" in springfield ma, i gave the sellers positive review, it's not their fault.

It's not the sellers fault that the eggs were misrouted but why were they mailed on a Saturday when they'd sit somewhere until Monday? I received ebay eggs a week ago...they were mailed on a Monday but didn't get here until Thursday. I am/was disappointed on all fronts. The eggs weren't as described and the post office must have really ruffed them up. I have 1 out of 7 that is viable, and that's a question.

Not sure if I'd try shipped eggs again.

I'm trying some Black Tailed Japanese eggs that I bought from a seller on eBay. I paid for them the night of April 5; they were mailed on April 6; and I just received them this afternoon, April 8. Plus the seller sent twice as many eggs as the auction quantity. Now they're resting before I put them in the incubator tomorrow night. I hope the good luck continues!

ETA: The box was in pristine condition, too. *prays to the Hatching Goddess*
