My Black Australorp, 22.5 weeks old, starting laying a few days ago. She laid two eggs in two days, but it has now been 2.5 days without any eggs from her. She is acting and eating normally. Is this just a glitch that will get worked out since she's young, or is there something else I should be looking into?

Thanks for any responses.

Sounds normal. During the first few weeks of laying, eggs tend to be intermittent, small and may have strange-looking or no shells.

Not to worry, the first couple of weeks they often lay intermittently! The eggs are typically smaller and sometimes lack pigment or even have a soft shell. Australorp's are great layers, it won't be long until she's laying regularly for you :)

Great news. I think I was more concerned since my Barred Rock has laid 21 eggs in 22 days. Pretty good for a beginner. Thanks so much for your response.
