question about egg laying

I have a few chickens and 1 just started laying. I saw another hen of the same breed in the egg box today...SO I was thinking she maybe is also going to start laying....however she has been in the nest box for a few hours now. I am beginning to get concerned. It is pretty hot today and she is panting pretty hard. I removed her from the box and she got a drink and then went right back in to the egg box. Should I be concerned?

Did she fluff out, make a flat pancake of herself? I know she just started to lay but going broody is still possible.

Thank You for the response! She laid an egg! It was a rather large egg for her first go...no wonder why it took her so long! I was thinking she could be broody or something too...but she had not even laid an egg yet so I didn't think that was even possible.
I got worried for nothing.

Yeah first times sometime take a while and some effort to lay that first egg, especially a big one.

I ate her LARGE egg for breakfast....it was a DOUBLE YOKE!
