Question about eggs

I have a chicken sitting on 7 goose eggs .
due next week to hatch .
I don't want to candle them because the chicken might freak if I remove the eggs . It is bad enough that I sprayed them with water.
I have been turning them every day for her keeping them moist .
I noticed some of the eggs are the same weight when I put them under her and some are lighter now and the shell sounds hollow glassy sounding
do you think my eggs are still good .or do you think this was a BIG FLOP .
My goose did not go broody that's why the chicken Might become Mother Goose
I know I have a 50 / 50 chance of this hatch.

This must be an Xlarge fowl chicken to be sitting on 7 goose eggs. might be why your not seeing weight changes. Probably some will hatch though I hope so. Keep us updated..

I agree with Miss Lydia. You may have been a bit ambitious with 7 eggs under a chicken! Ideally, 3. She won´t need you to do anything to help. Chickens do well with goose eggs. they turn them, keep them warm, all no probs. Just 'less is more'.

You can candle them, just don´t take all the eggs at once. Do it in two batches, then you´ll know which ones you´ve looked at. If any have sign of life, then these would be the ones to put back under her, but those that don´t seem to be alive, keep them out of her nest, to ensure the live ones still have a chance. I´d be very surprised, although impressed, if she´s managed to keep them all going. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the advise I read in a old book that a chicken could handle 7 eggs from geese that's why so many
and the chicken is a large Sussex she hatched 13 eggs last yr she is my big butt chicken all the eggs are covered and warm so I figured maybe 7 would work she's content with them.
I will be impressed too if it works. Don't worry if this works their will be pictures mother's day they are due to hatch. I'm counting down. Keeping all my fingers crossed.

Well, let´s hope we´re all impressed, then!!!

I used to have a lovely Brahma, she´d cover 15 of her own eggs no problem, but seeing a goose egg is the size of 3 chicken eggs, I reckon she´d have to be one huge fat hen!!

I have 4 eggs out of the 7 with life Inside of them.
But I'm not counting my geese before they hatch still crossing my fingers.
And waiting .............. and waiting
seems to be forever !
This is as bad as having a baby.
All I can say is any day now .​
