Hi everyone. I treated the coop with Elanco’s Elector approximately 6 weeks ago, went out a few days after the treatment to check and the red mite were dead (I.e either no sign or some were lying around dead). Went out to check again today (as I said, this is now 6 weeks later) as I like to check periodically that there’s not as issue and seen a few crawling around again. Is elector not supposed to last for 12 weeks? Am I doing something wrong or is this to be expected?

No, not the eggs but it says it has a residual effect. So figured once the eggs hatched and they climbed about the coop they would die. I don’t think I missed anywhere, I went a bit crazy with the spray lol. Went over everywhere about 10 times. Yes, I wondered if that was maybe the case about the wild bird reinfestation. Thanks for the reply :)

Wild songbirds are the problem here, and mites have been an ongoing issue because of them. :he . Too many mites will cause fatal anemia, not good! I work at staying ahead of them, but the wild house wrens get into my run when the chickens are outside.
