Question about grower and chick starter

I have 4, 8 wk old chicks. When can I start feeding grower? And is cracked corn considered "grower"

I started feeding "Starter/Grower" that I got at TSC when my chicks were around the same age yours are. They started laying their first eggs at 24 weeks of age.

Not sure if I would consider cracked corn "grower" but more of a chicken "scratch".

Cracked corn doesn't have all the nutrients that chickens need. I use it for occasional treats - but that's all. I usually go through a couple bags of chick feed - and once the chicks go to the grow-out pen around 6 - 8 weeks, I start them on grower feed.

Cracked corn is considered chicken candy. They can't live on it.

We dont use cracked corn by itself at all. We use a 5 way scratch mix made locally. Our girls love it
