Hey guys,
I am new to peafowl, and chickens for that matter. I just ordered a Brinsea Octagon 20 ECO egg incubator and auto turner.
Will this be good to try to hatch my peafowl eggs. She is free ranging, so when she starts to lay I will need to find the nest.
I was going to let her hatch them, but now I am worried about predators. Please advise.
Thanks

I caught my peacocks as wild birds. They were somebodies pets at one point in their life time, before I caught them, my neighbor called me over to show me that one of the peahens laid eggs on the slant of their roof. I would be careful to watch her because they hide their nest in unusal spots you might not find. As for the incubator it looks like it would work fantasic. You should have several hatches.

Thanks. I have a barn that they roost in. They spend alot of time on top of the tack room, but I did not think she would lay eggs up there. Don't
they usually prefer the ground?

we have three eco 20's but I just use them as hatchers. you can't get too, too many in there, esp if you lay them on their sides but it you put them upright you can prob fit 12+ in there. I usually try to keep it under 9 if I'm hatching them out so they have a little room to move around.
