Question about lock down with Broody

I have a broody that won't leave her nest I have to make her come out and do her business. My question is when should I stop taking her off the nest? On day 18? She was on the wrong nest on monday when I returned home. The eggs were cool to the touch. She couldn't have been off the nest for more than 4 hours. That was on day 5. That is when I moved her to the dog crate. Thank you for any input.

It won't hurt anything to continue to take her off the nest for a few minutes but it isn't necessary.
