Good Afternoon Everybody
I Have A Quick Question .I Have 12 Pilgrim Goose Eggs In The Incubator On Day 24. I Just Noticed One Of Them Rocking & Moving, This Seems A Bit Early Doesn't It? Should I Stop Turning Today & Put The Eggs In Lockdown Or Continue Turning ?

Keep in mind that geese only lay one egg every other day as a rule. So, you probably have one of more that are more developed than the others. I am going to have to defer to someone with more expertise as to continue turning or lock down. Maybe mark the one that is moving and don't turn it but continue turning the others...just an idea and not advise.

Thanks, I've Been Hatching A Number Of Goose Eggs Each Year , And Every Year It's About The Same. But This Year They Seem To Be Rocking And Moving Early So I Just Thought I'd Ask...

If they're only about 6 days out from hatch day (day 30), I'd just go ahead and stop turning them. Typically, if I see a lot of movement as lockdown approaches, I will stop turning to allow the gosling (or duckling) the best opportunity, unimpeded, to get into proper hatching position. Turning is more critical early in the incubation process, rather than near the end, too.

Best wishes for a great hatch!
