This is my little angel, Butterball. She was sold to me at the Tractor Supply as a Bantam Buff Cochin, however she is bigger than any chicken I have, including my BR and my RIR, hence her name lol. So I don't think she is really a bantam. My question is this: She is 26 weeks old and hasn't laid an egg. She doesn't even squat. She is very vocal, even honking like a goose which I love and she is very gentle and sweet. But I'm worried. Shouldn't she be laying by now? My other hens I got with her, all white leghorns, are laying almost everyday. Her eggs will be brown, right? The leghorns lay white but so far, no brown eggs, so I'm assuming she isn't laying. At what age do cochins lay? I posted a pic so you could see my beautiful girl!
