No, when a hen is broody, she will stay all day & night in one spot, usually a nestbox or other hidden area, and will not get up to for more that a timer or two per day. Also, if you approach a broody hen, she will puff up her feathers, make a growling noise, and may try to bite you, depending on the temperament of the hen.
Most hens will not go broody before they've laid, and EE's are not nearly as likely to brood as other type of chicken, like a Cochin or Silkie.
