Question about pumpkin seeds

I read that chickens like pumpkin seeds, so when my work had a pumpkin carving contest I took home a bunch. To me they look HUGE. Will they pick through and just eat the small ones? Will it cause problems if they eat the big ones?

Either they will eat them or they won't. They will be fine. If they can swallow them they can digest them.

By a bunch I assume you got quite a lot.

You can freeze small bags to pass out later on. Remember they count as part of the treat ration.

Pumpkin seeds are great for birds and people. I like to rinse them in a colander and dry them in the oven with just a little olive oil until crispy. I share them with Dylan the African Grey. Guess that's why I have never had worms! High protein, Vit. A, best kind of treat. I buy them, wish I had a lot of free ones!

Either way, yes they seem big but the chickens do seem to manage. Even my pullets enjoyed a few. Weather or not pumpkin helps with worms... well who cares really it's a fun and healthy treat. And if by chance it does help all the better right...
