did this happen to anyone else as where the last few days of the second week my temp seemed to jump up so i had to do more then a half of circle turn on the thermostat thingy just to keep it at 99/100 degrees is this because the chicks inside are taking up more mass so they are creating their own heat and dont need so much extra heat put in to them so the heat in bator rose? if you know the answer then please let me know thanks

The same thing happened to me at the end of last week. I have chicks due to hatch on the 4th. The responses I got were that yes, due to the fact that the chicks were growing their body temp was bringing the temperature up. Just keep a close eye on it and adjust as necessary.

ok thanks so much mine prob rose so early cuz i have 52 eggs in the bator lol thanks

Yes, I was told by experienced hatchers to look for a temp jump around day 14 or so, and I got one... 'Bator jumped to 103 on day 15 & I adjusted accordingly.
