I just want to see if this is correct. Ringnecks can have offspring with different color mutations? I am very, very new to doves. I was on a page that was showing different colors they can be and its a lot.

Colors! Yes, many and other neat mutations as well. I was visiting my pigeon genetics mentor, Willard Hollander, at Iowa State U in Ames, Iowa, back in 1981, when I met his co-conspirator in the dove genetics world--Wilmer Miller. Wilmer had just learned that he had to disband the entire Iowa State dove collection, many hundreds of doves. He asked me if I wanted them. Of course I wanted them. I just didn't have any means to carry them back to Pennsylvania with me, nor a place to keep them once I made it home. I had to leave that offer behind, alas!

Go check out Wilmer's dove site at http://ringneckdove.com/

We
discovered that we were cousins, too, many generations removed, both descended from same line of the Hadley family. Keeping doves and pigeons must be genetic, er, run in the family.
