I've read different articles saying rooster sperm can last in a hen between 1-3 weeks. My question is, if rooster 1 mates with a hen, then that hen is left with rooster 2, how long does it take rooster's 2 sperm to fertilize her eggs?

Not certain but I think the answer is both roos depending on which sperm makes it to the egg.

2 days. Tomorrow's egg will already be encased by the shell so fertilization by #2 can't happen until the start of this next egg. That egg could be fertilized by either.

So it won't take two or three weeks for #2 sperm to take into affect?
