Question About RSL & RIR

Hi

I have a Rhode Island Red Cockeral, and a Red Sex Link Pullet. What will I get if I breed them together? Thanks!

Does your Red Sexlink have a white tail ? If so about half of their offspring would be black tailed Red columbian ( like RIRs ) the others would have white instead of black like most Red Sexlinks, You can get both colors in both sexes and the chicks will not be sexlinked and sexable by color, that only works for the first intial cross of a gold gene roo on a silver gene hen.

Yeah it should be the same thing, does she have white where a RIR has black ?​

Um, she does have alittle white on her tail and the RIR cockeral does have black on his tail. I will try to get a picture of them tomorrow!
