I am new to all of this. I have a hen I think started setting yesterday. When I looked in the nests yesterday morning, there were only 2 eggs in the box where she is. When I put them up yesterday evening, she was still on the nest and then again this morning. My question is, can I slip more eggs under her as the other hens lay? Thanks for your help.

Yes you can slip her some more eggs. If she is a standard breed 10 is as many as I would go.
Make sure you move food and water closer to her.

Thanks. She is red, that is all I know. When they have "new egg" under my name, they got that right!

Yes you can. Sometimes it's best to do it at night. Sometimes they will accept the eggs and some may reject them. If she sits on them ok, just keep an eye on her. Do you have any pics?
