Question about Show Quality

If someone claims they have show quality birds for sale before you buy them what should I be looking for as an indicator (other than how the bird looks) of if this is a true claim? I am new to this chicken scratch

and was wandering how the pros go about purchasing birds. I am dealing with Red Breasted OEGBs a pair of them.

Just make sure that they are not sick and that they do not have lice or other parasites.
