Question about Silkie laying?

I have a Silkie pullet that has never laid an egg. She will be a year old in march. Whats up?

Silkies are odd like that... are you certain it's not a roo in hiding? It's not unusual to take 8-9 mo to lay.

Concerned about a silkie not laying?? Ha, in case she (your silkie) hasn't informed you, silkies aren't real chickens, they are BETTER than real chickens and therefore are not required to perform such chickenly tasks as egg laying. My girls only lay when they want to, and I have one now that's been in the nestbox, sitting on nothing, for about 2 weeks.
