Question About Starter Feed

I'm in a very strange position. My mother insisted that instead of waiting for fall, that I order my goslings now. They're coming tomorrow and today I found out the chick starter I bought them, the only non-medicated chick starter I could find a 20 mile radius, is only 18 percent protein. I've heard that they need 20 or 21 percent protein in their chick starter.

The weird thing is, I buy layer pellets for my adult ducks from the same place (the co-op) and that is 21 percent protein. Are the babies ok with this 18 percent feed? Is there anything I can do if it isn't ok?

Lol no I explained that wrong. There are a few of places that sell older geese around me during the fall. I worry about my ability to raise little bitty babies

so just hoping everything goes smoothly. They got here today strong and healthy so it's a good start

They should be fine. I've fed my goslings 20% starter for the first month, then added some cracked corn in their diet to bring the protein content down a bit until they were ready to make the switch to layer feed.
