Question about store-bought white eggs

I opened a few cartons of eggs today at the grocery store (to compare for size), and I was surprised to see how DULL they were. Are fresh white eggs glossy like brown eggs? Does the "industrial" cleaning strip the sheen off of the egg? Or are all white eggs dull? They were very unappealing.

(I always buy "eggshell" finish when I paint. These eggs were definitely a "flat" finish.)

I thought my white eggs were pretty glossy.. just like the brown ones. Don't remember store ones.
