Question about treats..

I have six 5 wk old pekins. I gave them sweet peas for the first time last night. I gave them some more this morning. They LOVE them!! My question is.....how much can I give them?

i give my ducks about a handful each... if you give them too much they will gorge themselves on them. My first two ducks went on a hunger strike and refused to eat anything but peas because i gave them too many! lol. IT's good to make it a slow process too, like throw the peas a couple at a time and watch them run for them! I'd say no more than a 1/3 to 1/2 cup for each duck on any given day... but don't put them in a bowl and give them all at once... make em work for it! lol

Thanks Nettie!! I dumped a bowl for them this morning and they were literally falling all over themselves to get to them!!!LOL! Sure didn't take them very long to figure out they liked them. I know that a couple of them held back and didn't get any at all. Maybe now that they know what they are, I can try to get them to eat out of my hand. Here's hoping!!
