No, but if it is CRD they would be a carrier for life, and it is passed through the egg from the hen to the chick.

They aren't necessarily carriers. I'm pretty sure you can test them if you want to.

Shelly you need to contact your state Vet and get them out to see your birds. They do the testing and it's often at their cost, or nominal fee to you. You need the tests to see if it is in fact CRD that your dealing with, to guess at this is not doing you any good, it could be CRD, or MG or just mold in your bedding or feed. Don't make a plan based on a guess.

Meanwhile I would isolate your flock till you know. Sorry, that would mean no selling or birds or eggs. Bummer for sure. Keep a set of boots that you only wear into the coops and pens too, don't wear them to the feed store or such till you know. Try and avoid visiting others with birds and ask them not to come to your place.

Depending on your state rules these things can be reportable diseases. Be safe and make the call.

Shelley, it CAN be made safe to take the eggs and finish them in the bator. IF and only IF you have Oxine available to you, you will need to place 1/8 teaspoon Oxine into a pint of water. Then use the water to fill the wells of your incubator. after the incubator heats back up to 99.5 than transport your eggs from nest to bator. The Oxine is hundreds of times more potent than clorox but much safer and as it dissipates into the air inside the bator, it will kill any virus that may have been carried by you or on any eggs. Also the egg surface and anything on the egg surface will draw the moisture of the Oxine-infused water and it will kill all the viruses and bacteria on the surface.

I use it in my incubators all the time--just to be 100% my babies are being hatched into a pristene environment.

There are lots of things you can do to fix your situation with the CRD also. My sister faced this and it just keeps returning until the infected bird(s) die. If you are ever wanting to rid yourself of the problem give me a shout in personal messages and I will help get you started. These problems CAN be beat.
