Question about when my fuzzy butts come

This is my first order of chicks and the only ones I've had before I've gotten from someone when they were a week old. When I get the chicks do I need to put them on a special diet or just chick starter and will they need any help knowing what the food and water are?

Chick starter, for the first 8 weeks.

When your chicks arrive, dip each chick's beak in the water. I start 'em on paper towels over the pine shavings for the first couple days, with feed in a chick feeder AND scattered on the paper towel so they can pick at it. I also dip their beaks into the feed in the feeder.

I would give chick starter. The way to teach them to drink is by holding them gently and dipping their beaks in the water.

Just regular chick starter is fine. When minwe arrive I always dip the beaks in water and set them near the feed, they usually peck at it but if they don't I usually stick their beak in that also. usually doen't take them too long to figure it out.
