Hello,
My wife and I are moving there from Texas in the next week. We're bringing our 3 hens along for the ride. I read the city ordinances on chickens and have a couple of questions. First, if says we have to demonstrate that we meet the codes in ordinances to get the permit. Do they actually send out somebody to look at out coup? It also states that we also have to have hens which means that we would have to have the birds in order to get the permit, but having them without a permit is against the ordinance. It also says that the run has to be made of wire buried 12 inches. I understand why they put this, but would the "inspector" knock us for having a tractor with tough chain link flooring to keep burrowing predators? I definitely don't want to be the guy that ruins it for other people, but some of the ordinance put limits on practicality, especially with a $25 charge.
Thanks
