We have some Bob White Quail we obtained from a reputable breeder some time back (they used them for planting in the field to hunt). These are basically pets. About a month ago a lady advertised she was giving some BWQ away so I thought it would be nice to have some new blood.

When I saw them I was shocked (at the conditions the were living in) and that they were WHITE. They are all white with some splash. They are about 5 -6 months old now and have started becoming vocal. They do sound like BWQ, but look nothing like them.

Since we don't know enough about them, we have kept them in their own quail cage (they have the ability to fly in it, nice perch area, place to hide and keep dry.

Does anyone know about such a bird? Can't find too much on the internet, other than they are a variety of Quail and are mutants (due to coloration). Any info would be appreciated!

they sure sound like snowflakes, and if she just gave them away you are super lucky IMO check out the prices of eggs on eBay, Kenny Armstrong at gunrunner dogs gets $40 a dozen he is also the guy who discovered this mutation, i have bought several dozens so far and only have 2 chicks i want some so bad next year i will be getting some from Kenny, post some pictures up so we can see the beauties
