Question of the Day - Saturday, July 26th, 2025

The most important part of starting fires is knowing how to put them out.

I used mine to set a dry field on fire and then successfuly put it out before it got too big.
Yeah. Garden hose to the rescue in my case. Then to explain to my parents the large blackened spot in the yard when they got home from work.

Latchkey kids in the 80's had way too much freedom. :p

:lau basically living alone and raising ourselves by 12 years old while kids today live with their parents well into their mid to late 20s.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing my kids an injustice denying them all the times they could have potentially died or gotten seriously injured because I was home. :p

I'm around my kid way too much too but It equals out because I'm teaching him all the ignorant things that kids don't do now days.
Good bonding stuff right there.
