No. Maybe for a special occasion. I stopped wearing my wedding ring when I took up competitive pistol shooting. It was very difficult to get off, so I left it off. I don't think it'll go over "the hump" of that knuckle anymore, and it won't fit any other finger; I've tried.

I have the opposite problem. I can't get mine off, my sausage fingers are too thick for it to slide over the knuckle any more.

And that is why I absolutely refuse to wear rings. I don't want my finger to get swollen for some reason and have a ring get stuck

Well, keep in mind it's been there 25 years now. I'm physically not the same shape I was back then.

Just take it off then. When I smashed my wrist working at Olive Garden, the first thing I did was take off my wedding ring

If one gets bit by a venomous snake, a ring isn't likely to be the first thing one is thinking about and swelling can happen so fast. Me personally I'll just stick with not wearing a ring
