Happy Easter, everyone!

Are you celebrating today with a special meal? We are, I'm making ham, potatoes, asparagus, and biscuits. For dessert, I splurged and got two slices of chocolate cake.

My dad made shredded pork with roast potatoes carrots cabbage and gravy, It was delicious. For dessert we had apple strudel with custard.

Yep. Special meal, with 7 humans.
Ham, mashed potatoes, Angel salad, other food.

Meatballs, short rib lasagna, au gratin potatoes, lemon drizzled asparagus. Delicious and a birthday cake made by my brothers and SIL for me which was vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and then from a bakery we got a lemon cheesecake topped with whipped cream and blueberries. All delicious.

We went on a bunny train ride, so we ate out. It was really nothing special; the regular cook must've taken the day off!

But every Easter we have an egg-smashing contest. We take our decorated, hard-boiled eggs, and bang the ends together. One cracks. Repeat with the other end, taking new eggs as needed. The last person with a whole egg wins. This tradition has been in my family for generations.

Not really a special meal but I made scalloped potatoes and had some ice cream And the neighbor got some eggs
