What do you prefer to use for fishing? (Worms, lures, etc.)

I haven't been fishing since I was a kid.

98% of my fishing experience is from video games and the other 2% is attempting to shoo crawdads into a Styrofoam cup with a stick.

Flies as in artificial flies for fly fishing.

I haven’t been fishing in a while but last time we used live bait (fish) that we caught ourselves first. LOL not sure what we used to catch the bait. but yeah. We call the pogies but not sure what the actual species is. This is for saltwater fishing. We used them to catch stripers (NOT the other word that autocorrect just tried to change it to ) AKA striped bass. LOL

Fresh water I think I would use worms or a lure.

We have also sometimes used lures on a 9er (rig thing with like 9 hooks on it) and towed it behind us and caught fish that way too. LOL

Nothing, I might catch something! Then I would have to kill, clean, cook and eat it. I'd like to just walk around a lake, or up a river, casting and reeling and enjoying nature, and nobody would stop me and ask, What are you doing? Because obviously I'd be fishing but darn it, I just can't seem to get a bite or even a nibble for some strange reason ...
