Tea or coffee?

Believe it or not, it's that way by design. They load Starbucks coffees with so much extra sugar, flavorings, etc. that burning the coffee beans is the only way to have it still tasting of coffee by the time everything else is added in.
But what about the people who want plain ol' coffee?!? Black, or with just a bit of milk?

There used to be someone here who knew a LOT about roasting coffee. He said that Starbucks roasted to "the second crack," and in his opinion, ruined the beans.

IIRC, he explained that when you roast beans, at a certain point they make a cracking noise. And they're done. But you can keep roasting until they crack again. If you want to get that kind of flavor.🤮

Don't worry about my kind, we're happy making our own coffee at home!
Us too!

Though I'm going out for coffee with a friend next week. That is much more for the company than the coffee. I'll buy the smallest something kind of plain that they have. It's not Starbucks.
