Question on baytril use for ducks?

My duck was attacked by a raccoon 3 weeks ago and have recently developed, what appears to me as an infection but still unsure, and was on baytril maybe 4 days ago. He was on it for 4 days as well. However, because of this what I think could be an infection on a wound on his leg I’m wondering when can I resume using baytril? How long should I wait to give it to him again? Or should I not give it to him anymore? I’m just worried and I dont want this infection to worsen. He seemed fine on the baytril and the moment he gets off it he develops an infection and he’s had none for the entirety of these 3 weeks now to suddenly develop one as the skin peels away to heal? Please let me know your thoughts and use on baytril I do not want to give him too much but I also don’t want this infection to worsen.

Is a vet an option? Baytril is pretty potent, and prolonged use (over five days) will usually cause a yeast infection.

I’m in a very difficult spot, just last week we’ve spent around 800 dollars on two back to back vet visits. I’d love to go to the vet as of right now but we are in a position where that isn’t available financially. I’m not even really sure if it is an infection or just some strange stage of healing! There’s no smell or puss and it popped up overnight but I feel like what’s happening isn’t normal, but I’m not sure. This is my first duck AND the first ever injuries I’ve had to deal with. Besides baytril, do you have any other suggestion?

Is this what you are talking about here?
