This is my first time hatching. I have the Brinsea Mini Advance. I went into lockdown yesterday morning. The instructions says to fill the reserviors above the divider. I did that. So now I'm on my 2nd day of lockdown. The water level is now slightly below the divider. Since I shouldn't open it. Should I just level the water level where it's at? I do have one pip already.

The reason you fill both of them is so you won't have to open the 'bator for 3 days.

. There is enough to last through the evaporation over that time period. Plus, humidity goes way up when chicks hatch out of the eggs.

Did you remember to remove the egg turner tray? I put down a paper towel so the hatching chicks don't slip around on that slick, plastic surface. Plus, it makes it easier to clean up after the hatch is done.

Now that you have a pip, DO NOT OPEN THAT INCUBATOR until chicks have hatched and are fully dry and fluffy. Well, at least not if any eggs have pipped and/or zipped.
