Question on Run size...

I am putting in our run today and need to know the minimum size for the run. We have 9 chicks.

The general rule of thumb is 10 square feet per bird, minimum. For 9 chickens, that would be 90 square feet, for example 9' by 10', 6'x15', and so on.

X2 but if ya have more space, even better!!

Truly, with chickens, bigger really is better. You could even make two separate 90 square foot runs and then rotate the chickens back and forth between the two.
