Question on shipped eggs, help me understand this

I never even thought about unpressurized flights as a factor.

Well I just finished a hatch of 20 eggs. 7 were black copper marans and the rest were millies. The millies were sent by mistake, a plus for me,

by the end and going into lock down I had all the marans as I couldnt tell with the dark shells, and only 5 of the millies. Only one maran hatched and 2 millies hatched. The eggs were shipped from several states away. I am doing one more hatch from the same person of buff orps 16 eggs and we will see what happens, but I dont think I will do it again, I will leave it to the hens.
