Question on utility trailer tongue weights?

So... I like the idea of having a very small trailer to use for cargo or moving feed for animals in. A lot of these if they are open without tops are cheap. Then you can either keep it that way or upgrade it yourself on the cheap.

But I discovered that some people sell them homemade with the axle of the wheels ALL the way back at the rear of the utility. I was confused by this... Specifically that should make the tongue weight A lot more. If you aren't driving a truck wouldn't this be kind of bad? Or what do people think about this, as far as how the tongue weight is affecting the pulling vehicle?
 
You are correct about the impact on tongue weight in relationship to where the axle is, but as to whether the trailer will serve it's purpose in your situation, depends a lot on how much weight you intend to pull. The more weight, the more centered you want the axle.
