Question Re: White Orpingtons

HI Team. I have a new friend who has a white orpington hen, currently paired with a lavender araucana roo. She was wondering what coloured babies she would get. I am happy answering her about the input from the lavender roo - but need your assistance with how the white on the hen works. Are they recessive, dominant?

I think it's recessive? But the lavender male will give a black gene since he isn't being bred to another lavender

So am I correct in telling her the following:
IF the hen is recessive white then babies will "likely" be black (from dad) but subject to any other colours mom might have going on under her white. Babies will also be "split for" white and lavender.
AND IF the hen is dominant white then babies are white? And "split" for lavender.

Ya that's correct.
I'd be surprised if her white wasn't recessive white.
