Should I leave our rooster with our hens or separate him till we are ready to breed hens? If we leave him with hens will hens be more broody?

In my experience a rooster doesn't affect a hen's broodiness one way or the other. I wouldn't think you would need to separate him from them at all.

I don’t think he will effect the hens in any way... mine seem perfectly fine, so...

The rooster will make for good company-unless he is very aggressive towards the hens. Roosters like to be busy, working.

I would think he would be more inclined to protect the hens he grew up with. As with the previous reply, I say leave him in there unless he is aggressive...
