When I try to pet my 24 week old pullet, she squats low and her wings staay in the same postion,but they sort of rise. She hasn't layed any eggs yet but I was wondering if this was a sign of her going to lay an egg??

nope..
Hens do that, it is the position they get into while mating. My hens do that too sometimes, but that is only when they are scared.

I do think its a sign that she is becoming sexually mature and may start laying soon?
