Why or what is the black dirt like substance in my eggs, have not had blood just dirt.

pictures? how big is it? could be meat spots. i don't mind blood spots, i can usually pick it out...or if really small, i could care less and just fry it up. but the other day i had a blood spot AND it seemed the yolk was red around the blood spot, so i fried it up and gave it to my 3 week olds.
