I've never had to put anything on, so I don't know. We only wash em off and let em go. Rarely have the issue though.

My other baby isn't but the one is and only started when I started reducing the chick scratch we have them with 10 chicks and two baby roosters all the same age. The one turkeys is the only one getting it and her (I think her) bottom is starting to get sore I soak before I gently wipe but it is starting to get a little red and swollen. It only started 3 days ago. Some one said to put vaseline or neosporin but wouldn't you know the only thing I have in the house is bag balm! These are my first baby's and I want to be a good mom so any advice would be appreciated.

Might be a little sticky (in my opinion). How about a little dab of vegetable oil?
