Questions about breeding

First I'd like to mention that any offspring that hatch out, I'll either be keeping for food, to even out male-to-female ratio, or dropping off at auction.

Edit: I have no plans to keep the IR drakes after breeding so I don't plan to breed them to the IR ducks I have. Please don't tell me to breed IR to IR.

I have a half Khaki Campbell half blue Indian Runner drake that I'll be breeding to my black Indian Runner ducks later this year. I plan to get 2 IR drakes next year so I have a few questions.

I plan to breed my KH/IR drake to my IR ducks, then breed the offspring to a IR drake, then breed the offspring to a different IR drake.

Any ideas to how this will turn out?
Should I keep the breeding as close to color as possible?
Has anyone done this before? And could I see photos?
