Questions about coturnix...

I have 3 female and 1 male coturnix. I thought I could tell which were females by their bald backs. But I was wrong the male even has a bald back... But one of the females has a smooth untainted back. What are you opinions. Also I just got them today.

There will be always females more favored than others so some Backs will look more raw than others due to male preference. About the males back, the guy picked out birds from a pen so I bet there was a dominance thing going on between the boys

In my breeder pen, there are 2 Roos. Both have bald spots. Have one hen than will whoop the boys regular... Only 2 hens show any bald spots.... There from the Roos. Everyone lays fertile eggs. Bill
