Questions, first chicken death here....

Sometimes a bird will fly into a wall and break her neck, or have a fatal head injury. Not often, but sometimes. Another possibility.

Nope no broken bones. We have a wonderful vet that had time to look at her today, free of charge. The alpha did it, she never liked this hen. I should've removed her and not the roo. Bad mistake on our part. She is pretty vicious and we will most likely cull her. Constantly beats on everyone except the roo. She's a mean little witch unfortunately. Vet said her disposition is genetic and will not go away. Some hens are just not worth keeping. :(
 
I want and need to end this thread now please, for the sake of my own sanity right now. Plus it is time for us to go dig a hole here and bury our beloved pet. Thank you all so much for the kindness you've shown me, the guidance, information, etc.. I will check back in a few days with everyone. Sending good thoughts to all and hugs, thank you again.
