I have about 21 babies hatched in my bator right now, 19 more to go, pretty much all have pips. About 10 of the babes are nice and fluffy.

question,

1) some are panting, they are getting too hot. I don't want to cook them. After my great hatch I would hate to lose them to heat.

2) I bought 4- day old chicks today, odd I know, they are standard cochins. I am hatching EE's only. The question is, the 4 new babies, have been vaccinated etc, so are on non medicated feed. I don't have a brooder set up divided yet, can I add my newly hatched fluffy babies in with the newly bought babies and have them on the non medicated feed for now, until I bring up the bigger brooder and divide it. And then feed mine medicated. As i don't want to feed the vaccinated babies the medicated food.

3) if I take out the fluffy babies, is it best to run the shower and get the bathroom and then do the removal, for safety sakes of the pippers and zippers?

ummm, quite a while, since early early this morning. I had 5 first thing this morning, who knows what time in the night they hatched.

and now they are hatching like crazy.

Oh that is not long at all!!! They can stay in ther eup to 72 hours. You are fine with that. That being said, leave them in there until the hatch is done or the 72 hour mark. If you still have pips at that point, yes, run the shower VERY HOT and take the bator in there to remove the hatched chicks.

As far as the 4 day old chicks, I would not put them together with the new ones. I would seperate the bator in two with chicken wire for a few days then remove it.

The humidity thing isnt as dramatic as you think..
Ge those babies out of there.... just reach in and be quick about it.
Make sure the brooder is nice and warm...

I agree, except where I live. I open the bator and every ounce of moisture is zapped out immediately. It was not pretty picking shells off my Elmer.

If I grab the fluffy chicks out, the time frame between shrink wrapping and open lid. as long as the humidity stays up at a good level, the pipping eggs will be okay right?
it's the humidity loss you worry about, not the shot of fresh air. correct?

You don't have posted where you live so if you live in a dry climate, do the steam thing. If not, well, It is much easier!!!
