We are new to poultry keeping and have a billion questions, but for today we'll restrain it to worming.
We have chickens from 4 months to 4 days old, housed in 4 different pens. (30-4 mo., 30-6 wks, 12-3 wks, and 12-4 days). Is there a general purpose wormer that we should be placing in the drinking water or food at this point?
We've raised puppies in the past and know that most all mammals need worming pretty young. Does the same apply to chickens?
Everyone appears pretty healthy and happy--moving around the pens, chasing bugs, scratching, pretty normal. Of course they're hot down here in AL and slow down during the heat of the day.
Any advice?
